Have no fear of being thought insignificant or unbalanced, but preach repentance with courage and simplicity. Have faith in the Lord, who has overcome the world. His Spirit speaks in you and through you, calling men and women to turn to him and observe his precepts. You will encounter some who are faithful, meek, and well disposed; they will joyfully receive you and your words. But there will be more who are sceptical, proud, and blasphemous, and who will insult you and resist your message. Prepare yourselves, therefore, to bear everything with patience and humility.

That feeling of "insignificant" or "less than" sneaks up on me. Wise words from Saint Francis. Thanks, Mike.
I am sitting here pondering the invitation to my own insignificance... and not sure where or how to go with it.
So sit I shall, and pray.
In our insignificance is also our treasure and the glory of God.
Insignificance is also a great gift of freedom. It is a great burden to be "significant" and have worlds depend on you for meaning and approval. God alone matters. God alone does all that is good and we are only silly,imperfect instruments -- although ones God chooses with delight to use.
